Gandhian Late Sri. L. S. Ramalingaiah was a freedom fighter and great Philanthropist. He was born (1928) in a small village called Lakkapanahalli in Ramanagara District in Karnataka state. At that time most of the rural Boys and Girls could not afford to migrate to metropolitan cities for higher education. Keeping this in mind he opened a college in Channapatna. There after 10 years it was shifted to new campus at Kengal. His vision and mission was to educate the rural students and backward class students who could face this competitive world.

The present management headed by Sri. R.Maheshchandra Son of Poojya Sri . Late L. S. Ramalingaiah, continued his father’s Vision and Mission. His dynamic effort has created a new history in the field of present education through introducing new schemes and strategies. His special interest in scientific development through installation of modern gadgets, modernization of Library, Sports and Seminar Hall with necessary equipments. He has been constantly giving valuable suggestions for both teaching and non teaching staffs and make the students in facing the global competition by selecting most efficient teaching community through demonstration merit base, experience and efficiency. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders.
